Provider Referrals & Collaborative Care

The Olive Branch Doulas (Eden & Embrace LLC) supports families through birth and postpartum with calm, evidence-informed care designed to complement provider-led clinical support. My role is non-medical and collaborative—centered on education, emotional steadiness, practical support, and continuity of care.

What I Provide

  • Prenatal education & preparation
  • Continuous labor support (as applicable)
  • In-the-moment coping, comfort & grounding
  • Postpartum recovery & newborn care guidance
  • Newborn sleep rhythm support (gentle, developmentally appropriate)

What I Don’t Do

  • No medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical decision-making
  • No cervical checks, fetal monitoring, or medication guidance
  • No direction that conflicts with provider-led clinical care
  • No replacement of lactation/therapy/pediatric care

Best-Fit Referrals

  • High anxiety or overwhelm; needs steady support
  • Desires education + a clear plan for postpartum
  • Limited local support or first-time parents
  • Birth after a difficult prior experience
  • Families wanting gentle newborn rhythm & sleep support

How Referrals Work

  1. Patient contacts me via the inquiry form or scheduling link.
  2. I schedule a brief consult to confirm fit, scope, and support needs.
  3. Care is coordinated respectfully—I encourage families to bring questions to their provider and follow the clinical plan of care.
  4. With consent, I can communicate basic logistics (timing, support plan, postpartum schedule) to help care feel seamless.

If a patient is in urgent medical distress, they should contact their provider, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency department.
